New Developments
When building a new warehouse, your racking and storage system should be taken into account from the very beginning. Obviously, racking and guided forklift systems can be installed later, but careful planning could mean that you reduce the amount of land you need and even the size of your warehouse without reducing its storage capacity. The advantage when building a new warehouse from scratch is that you can design a space specifically tailored to your needs, from access points to flooring and racking systems.
Choosing electronic wire guidance with high rise high density warehousing will give you the benefit of increased productivity, maximum warehouse space, high storage density and improved safety. EWG with high rise high density warehousing will allow you to decrease your storage area.
When installing EWG there are certain conditions that make the installation of the system easier and reduce costs. For example:
- the concrete slab must be poured correctly and be 100ml on top of the tension cables
- the slab needs to use concrete from the same supplier with the same aggregate and mix
- steel joints must not be in the centre of the aisles
- metal joints in the aisles will interfere with the electronic signal
- it is difficult to move the racking after it is installed to narrow the aisles as the wire needs to run down the centre
- if you are installing a post-tension floor, please contact us before you pour as this may cause problems and make installation more expensive.
Careful planning from the conception of your new development will ensure that you will create a system that makes your business safer and more efficient. Using EWG with high rise high density warehousing will add value to your operation and allow you to maximise the potential of your space.
